Andrew "Andy" Liubakka
12/28/1922 -1/14/2010



Andrew (Andy) John Liubakka, 87, of Anderson, CA, went home to be with the Lord on January 14, 2010, surrounded by family and friends. Andy was born in Wakefield, Michigan on December 28, 1922.

He accepted the Lord as his savior in 1949 in Taft, CA. He was a member of Beacon Missionary Baptist Church in Redding, CA.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Beatrice (Staton); a son, John Liubakka and wife Sharon; a daughter Marilyn Robinson and her husband Mitchel, of Harrison, Idaho; two grandsons, A.J. Liubakka and wife Tara of Redding, and Dale Liubakka of Anderson; and two great-grandchildren, Rusty Liubakka and Taylor Liubakka of Redding.

Andy served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Laborer's Local 185.

The family would like to thank the Happy Valley Fire Department, the ambulance crew and emergency room doctor and personnel, as well as the other doctors, nurses and staff of Mercy Hospital who helped care for Andy the final days of his life.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 19. A private burial will be held at Happy Valley Cemetery.
